International Tax

Certain countries, in particular the U.S., Japan and the Commonwealth countries, effectively impose tax on undistributed profit housed by vehicles incorporated in a low tax jurisdiction, if these profits are attributable to shareholdings owned by an individual or corporate tax residents of these countries.

Therefore, it is important to consider the tax implications of becoming a tax resident of a particular country upon migration.

We are able to assist with pre-migration tax planning for individuals considering emigration to countries such as Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.  We can also advise on the implications of overseas residency.
